Is it perfectly safe (for the wiimote) to keep changing between nunchuck and wiimote only, its just that games like Mario and Sonic at the olympics tell me to disconnect / reconnect the nunchuck for various sports events

ps (quick off topic) is there anyway of releasing / putting disks in there cases as sometimes they make an awful noise and I worry the disc will break
What I meant about the cases was, when you put them in the case they snap into place but I wanted to know how you put them in the cases or do you just have to push it down on the button thing

My brother already has the Sensor Bar and 1 “wiimote.” We want to play a game together that requires a “wiimote” (as opposed to games that work on old Gamecube controllers). I just want to see if I need to buy another Sensor Bar in order for this to work.

The Nintendo Wii remote’s motion sensing capabilities are dependant on accelerators and gyroscopes fitted in the device. But the major change in the WiiMote is not in the technology within, but in its design itself.

Ever since gamepads first made an appearance replacing the previously popular joysticks, the underlying design contains been the similar: you hold a controller in two hands, with your thumbs operating the buttons and navigational sticks. Even the modern SixAxis, DualShock 3 and Xbox 360 controllers employ the similar basic design.

Nintendo has always been about innovation and Shigeru Miyamoto wanted to change the way we believe about controllers. The final WiiMote looks more like a remote control for a television than that for a next-gen video game console.

Shaped thin and long like a bar, the 5.83-inch controller includes a four-way navigational pad av the top, along two standard buttons, simply numbered ’1′ and ’2′. The usual operational buttons of ‘Start’ and ‘Go for’ have been replaced with a ‘+’ and ‘-’, while a new ‘home’ button includes been added for the default Wii Menu. And yes, a power button lets you remotely switch the console on and off.

At the bottom of the console, where your own index finger would rest, lies another button shaped like a trigger.  The Nintendo Wii remote’s motion sensing capabilities are dependant on accelerators and gyroscopes fitted in the device. As stated earlier, the WiiMote also includes a speaker built into it. The Nin dodo Wii switches between its main audio output and that of the remote speaker quite smartly to make some cool effects.

One fine day my wiimote stopped working properly, I can still point and see the hand but “special” moves aren’t working, for example, On wii Sports I can select the game an all but once that I get to play It doesn’t do anything, In beisball the batter won’t swing the bat, same in tennis, golf ect…..In Mario Galaxy, Mario won’t sping but I can stiil pick-up stars by pointing…..as anyone had this problem, if so, how did you fix it?

I’ve tried re-synk the wiimote, doesn’t work, have tried several of the fixing points in the manual but have had no sucess and I’m about to call nintendo so don’t give any of the above

I just bought a second wiimote for my wii and excite truck. The second wiimote works for wii sports but when i tried to play it for excite truck the steering wouldn’t work. the gas and break worked but i could not turn it side to side to steer. Any ideas on how to fix it or should i return it?

Have used the wii for a while now,the console itself seems to be working fine.
Just the two controllers, (one of which has only just recently been purchased) have stopped working, the sensors do not work, and when you press down on buttons on the remote, there is no response from the blue lights.
We have tried putting in new batteries, but this does not change anythign either.
Does anyone know what is wrong with the wii/wiimote, or how to help fix it?

I just got the Homebrew channel. I ran it, and my Wiimote stopped connecting. I reset my Wii and they still wont connect. Why is this happening and how can I fix it?
I tried syncing by holding the wii sync button at the same time as holding the wiimote button, as well as holding 1 + 2, neither of those worked
batteries are fine, theyre regargable and theyre both fully charged
