Sunday, January 17th, 2010A Wii Balance Board can come as part of the package. The Balance Board has sensors to determine your weight distribution and balance. Best Wii Tools Click here If you are a newbie user, the Balance Board will use your weight and balance to compute your Fit Age. Once you’ve got this information, you can start off on your customized exercise regimen that could include push ups, and running, among other routines.
If you are upgrading from the Wii Fit Plus’s predecessor, you would want to know if Nintendo has made any changes. You can motivate yourself by keeping count of your calories, using the all-new calorie burning counter, while opting for routines to suit your specific goals and spare time. Several new strength building exercises, and balance games, along with yoga routines, are all tangible improvements over this game system’s forebear. In fact, adding to the choices offered by its forebear, Wii Fit Plus has a “Training Plus” menu of 15 all-new balance and aerobics games, apart from a half dozen yoga and strength training options. The yoga routines include Spine Extension, Gate and Grounded V, while the Strength Training options are Balance Bridge, Single-Leg Extension and Side Lunge.

Game routines such as Table Tilt Plus, Balance Bubble Plus and Basic Run Plus are like old wine in new bottles, as versions of these exist in the game’s forebear. However, there are many new games to make you go that extra mile toward top fitness, without your ever realizing it. For instance, in Bird’s Eye Bull’s Eye, you will need to move chicken style from one numbered platform to another. As the name indicates, Segway Circuit is a driving range; you race around a circuit, on your Balance Board. In Island Cycling, the faster you run, the faster your bicycle, on the console, goes. In Tilt City, a coordination exercise, you have to tilt various platforms so as to be able to guide colored balls to different destinations.
Perfect 10, Island Cycling, Rhythm Kung-Fu, Obstacle Course, Rhythm Parade, Big Top Juggling, Skateboard Arena, Rhythm Kung Fu, and Snowball Fight are some more instances, among a host of new routines, all aimed at improving your cardio fitness, while increasing strength, and helping lose weight. For those who don’t know how to devise their own customized exercise routine, or are too lazy to do so, the package comes equipped with standard workouts. So, whether you are looking for stronger arms or a toned stomach, you’ll find it all here. Go hula hooping, tight rope walking and slalom skiing, all in the privacy of your home!

Wednesday, December 23rd, 2009For the past few holiday shopping seasons, the Nintendo Wii has been one of the most popular video game consoles available. You can expect the same this year, as well. Nintendo has lowered the price of their Wii console for the first time ever, so now is the best time yet to purchase one. This year, brisk sales are again expected for the family oriented game system as it takes a price cut for the first time ever, allowing buyers to save more cash for Wii video games! Listed below are five of our most anticipated games scheduled to be released during the 2009 holiday season.
WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2010
This is the eleventh game in the WWE Smackdown series, and a sequel to WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2009. The expected release date for this game is October 20, 2009, and the game will feature the WWE Superstars deliver the high impact action that you’re used to. According to THQ, WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2010 will have several new and improved features, such as better create modes, as well as introducing a WWE Story Designer mode, in which a player will be able to design storylines based on the WWE’s weekly shows (Raw, SmackDown, or ECW) and pay-per-views with storylines, scenarios, and matches of their creations using a variety of options.
Yoga for Wii
The expected release date for Yoga forWii is November 4, 2009. The game features international top model Anja Rubik guiding you through the game, acting as your “personal trainer and motivator”, showing a modern method of obtaining higher body awareness and relaxation. Yoga for Wii will provide entertaining encouragement for you to improve, restore, and maintain your state of well-being, using a wide range of Yoga exercises, some of which use the balance board. Your workouts don’t always have to be fast, difficult or exhausting. Slow down your day and relax, with Yoga for Wii.
Pop’n Music
This popular Japanese arcade series, known for its bright colors, upbeat songs, and cute character graphics, finally makes its way to North America for the Nintendo Wii with a scheduled release date of November 10, 2009. Since the game was first introduced in Japan arcades in 1998, there have been 15 console game versions and several arcade versions, but this year will be the first time the game has been released in the United States. Pop’n Music is for all ages, and allows players to dance and move along to the beat of entertaining music!
Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare-Reflex
Anything with the Call Of Duty name is going to be a great seller, and rightfully so. This shooting combat game has provided consistent quality ever since the earliest PC versions. For the first time in the series, Call of Duty moves away from WWII to the modern battlefield. The expected release date is November 10,2009.
Tony Hawk Ride
This game from the Tony Hawk skating franchise is back, with a new game and awesome new features. No longer do you have to use your thumbs to control your rider. This game is scheduled to be released in November of 2009.

Sunday, December 6th, 2009The fact that Nintendo Wii games systems are still as hard to find in the shops as it was one year ago is proof that it is truly a revolutionary games console. As the PlayStation 3 and the XBox opted for more memory and better graphics, Nintendo went in an entirely different direction.
What makes the Nintendo Wii so unique is the motion sensitive controller that you can swing, point, poke and slash to get different effects in-game. So, for example, if you are playing a tennis game you swing the controller like a racquet to hit the ball.
The basic Wii package contains everything you need to get started. You get your console, a controller, cables and the Wii Sports games package. And at $249 for the lot it is a steal compared to the far more expensive PS3 or XBox.
However, retail price Wii’s are hard to come by these days so you will be lucky if you can get one at this price. Also, while the basic package is enough to get you started with the Wii, you really have to invest a little more to get the most out of this console.
At the very least you will want to get a second controller for two-player games. This will set cost you around $40. You will also probably want to invest in a couple of Nunchuk controllers which are needed to get the most out of many games. A battery recharger is also a good idea.
Depending on your tastes and how often you use your Wii, you will probably want to invest in at least an extra game or two. On top of this, there are all kinds of other accessories that you may or may not want.
There are all kinds of Nintendo Wii packages available. Some, aimed at really dedicated gamers, include over 20 games and all kinds of accessories, but could set you back almost $1,000.
The secret is knowing what you want before you buy. Read up on what’s available, keep your own gaming habits in mind, and try to give the Wii a couple of test runs before deciding on the right package for you.

Sunday, November 29th, 2009When it comes to video game systems, there certainly are a lot of different choices. Some of the better video game options that we have are the PlayStation, Xbox and GameCube. Many of the video games that are available on these particular systems crossover from system to system.
Some of them, however, are only available on one specific system, especially in the case of the particular game’s mascot. One game that stands out above all of them, however, is that Nintendo Wii, a game system that is like no other.
The Nintendo Wii has revolutionized the way in which games are played. It uses small remote controls that are handheld and you play the games in a point and click fashion.
The game does an amazing job at keeping up with the movements of the remote (known as a wiimote). It offers a wide variety of different types of gameplay that are not available on a standard system. This would include such things as shooting, bowling, boxing, golf and tennis.
Many of these games are played with natural movements that mimic the actual movements that are used when somebody is playing the particular sport. It gives a real feel to gameplay that is not available on other systems.
One of the main difficulties with the Nintendo Wii is that they are very hard to come by. Whenever I bought mine, I had to stand in line overnight at a Target store in order to purchase it when it first came in. There were over 100 people standing outside this particular store to buy the game, many of them were turned away.
Some other problems that they have had with the Wii are injuries and damage to property. Because the remote is handheld and swung, sometimes violently, it has been known to slip out of people’s hands and break windows and television sets. Some people have actually even punched the person that they were playing against, by accident of course.
All in all, the Nintendo Wii is really the perfect game system. Not only will it help you to enjoy your gameplay more, it opens up a whole new level of playing on its own. Even though it still makes use of buttons, it is unique enough that you may never want to go back to normal gameplay again.
